yo.

just back from kansas and the completion of the NCCCCCCCC collegiate season. we won all the team stuff again this year; that's five in a row now for the overall conference championships. brain was second in the conference overall, second in the RR this weekend, and second in the crit. i guess he's making it a habit. i was tenth in the crit today, and dropped out of the road race yesterday cause my knee is all messed up. we won the conference team time trial this weekend too. it was super fun, andy cook is turning into one incrediblely strong rider. we averaged almost 29 mph over the 15 miles mostly because of him. it was fast. and yes, for some reason i'm excited about TTTs.

anyhoo, highlights from the weekend include both the "early" van and "late" deciding to moon each other at the same time, mark smelser playing a joke on us by locking us in his house and leaving for the crit course, rocking out to the top gun soundtrack, and of course the staple of manhattan kansas dining - gumby's.

it looks like we going to go to nationals this year, which should be pretty fun. i think both the men and women could turn in decent team time trial rides. i think our women could podium perhaps.

over easter, my mom was telling me how i really needed to open one of the Wells Fargo bank statements they had been sending me. i closed out my savings account with them about two years ago, and apparently they'd been sending my parents monthly statements for the past two years. anyway, i never bothered to open a single statement from them, and quite honestly, i didn't even know they were sending me anything until my mom told me a couple days ago. so i was starting to really wonder what was going on. anyway, i open up the envelope, and low and behold, i still have $329 in my savings account. I can almost pay April rent!!! that's very good news, because it's getting harder and harder to hide from the landlord when he comes over.

it's times like these that make me super happy i have no idea how to manage money.

and while i'm on the topic of money, the dreaded tax filing deadline is fast approaching and i still have not filled out the forms. i'm a little worried, because i really need to fill them out correctly this year. I don't want a repeat of my 2005 performance (audited), or my 2006 performance (will be getting a letter soon).

so on to bike racing. this weekend is our home races. should be sweet. men A start at Opus at 10:00 on sunday, and i've heard a rumor that super rookie and spencer may show up. that would be sweet. i also went over the to mcf forum the other day, and apparently hollywood henderson has a contest going to see who the first person is to spot him waving a Hollywood Cycles banner at the spring classics in europe. i laughed super hard at the video, its hillarious.

hey hey,

is it normal to eat a two-pound family sized pre-made pasta meal and still feel hungary? is it normal to top off the pasta with some greasy taquitos and a couple hunks of cheese? is it normal to wish you were washing it all down with some coffee? is it normal to hide your food from your roommates because you fear they may eat some of it?

it is true. i am a fat kid stuck in a skinny kids body.

Your midi-chlorian count is so low that in the Battle of Hoth, when you heard the chicken walkers were coming, you came out with a knife and a fork...

(that joke is not actually mine, instead it comes courtesy of Darth Dork himself, my brother Peter "Nerdwalker" Stewart)

here's a photo of him, in his essence.
